ART INSTALLATION In order to draw attention to the many fires caused by the heat and drought in Orti, we have invited local artists who have made a mark with their own style. Uniamo competenze tecnologiche ed ecologiche per preservare la biodiversità del nostro territorio. Alle scolaresche dimostriamo dal vivo come contribuiamo alle sfide ambientali e al contrasto del cambiamento climatico nel rispetto dell’ambiente con azioni virtuose volte a: ridurre le emissioni inquinanti; utilizzarando le energie rinnovabili (pannelli solari e fotovoltaici) diminuiamo l’impatto ambientale, conteniamo il consumo di acqua (recuperando e riutilizzando l 'acqua piovana), smaltiamo attentamente i rifiuti (con la creazione di compost) adottiamo soluzioni di economia circolare e creiamo progetti di sostenibilità ed equità sociale. Alleviamo polli e galline (non da macello). Nel laghetti artificiali raccogliamo le acque piovane e coltiviamo piante galleggianti; alleviamo anatre, oche e carpe Koy. La partecipazione alla raccolta delle olive ed ad altri laboratori didattici sono importanti esperienze che proponiamo ad ospiti e scolaresche. AGRICULTURE We are a green farm and are constantly trying to make our way of life more sustainable and resource-friendly. On our farm we keep chickens, ducks and koi fish that live in a pond made of rainwater. Throughout the property there are numerous olive trees. In addition to hiking with a view of Sicily or horseback riding, you can learn how to bake Italian bread and pastries in a stone oven. CRAFTS Together with our friend Donna, we make different products that can be bought on our farm. In addition to bread, olive oil and biscotti, you can visit a soap school where you will learn how to make your own soap.
